St. Louis, MO – As the Round 10 of the Monster Energy Supercross headed to the “Show Me” State of Missouri, AG Motorsports rider, #50 Kyle Peters was ready to improve upon his 8th place finish in Atlanta. As fate would have it, St. Louis was not going to be his best race of the season.
After qualifying 12th, Kyle had the 6th gate pick for Heat 1. When the gate dropped, Kyle had a great start and came around the first turn battling for the top spot. With the riders stacked up, Kyle hit the triple jump with three abreast and came down on a tough block. Atlanta, GA – As the 8th round of the Monster Energy Supercross rolled into Atlanta, AG Motorsports rider #50 Kyle Peters had momentum from a solid performance in Dallas.
After qualifying 9th, Kyle was placed in Heat 2. When the gate dropped for the second heat race, Kyle had a rough start as he got off the gate and was mid pack through the first lap. Kyle put his head down and began picking off riders one at a time on a track that proved to be tough to pass on. When the checkered flew, Kyle worked his way to a 4th place finish giving him a good gate pick for the Main Event.
When the gate dropped for the Main Event, Kyle again struggled with his start and came around the first turn in 10th. He battled with Lance Vincent for a few laps before finally making the pass. This allowed Faith and Hill to pull away and presented a challenge to make up the gap. Kyle put down some of his fastest laps while closing the gap on Faith and Hill but catching them proved to be easier than making the pass on a “one line” track. Kyle went on to finish 8th in the Main and currently sits 5th in the Championship points standings.Continue reading “AG Motorsports Atlanta Race Report” »
